The "Blue Spectrum" denim series, part of our original Rainbow Denim collection first developed in 2013, stands out with its uniquely designed yarn-dyeing technique. Each yarn is meticulously dyed in a gradual color gradient, creating a captivating effect reminiscent of a rainbow-hence the nickname "Rainbow Yarn." The newly enhanced collection uses a heavy-duty, 21-ounce fabric, making it both substantial and long-lasting. Unlike conventional denim, the "Blue Spectrum" achieves its distinct fade effect thanks to an advanced warp-dyeing process, which results in a vibrant yet refined color depth that beautifully ages over time..

    To support the production of more heavy-duty pieces, Sauce has invested in advanced sewing equipment for in-house manufacturing. This particular jacket is priced higher than other denim jackets in the store, not only due to the unique and premium fabric but also because of the significant labor costs involved. The dense, weighty 21-ounce fabric requires a meticulous, slow production process. Each jacket demands extensive machine adjustments, frequent needle replacements, and the use of rubber mallets to ensure clean, aligned seams and smooth, precise folds at the joints. Producing one jacket takes as long as crafting three pairs of 21-ounce jeans, highlighting the high production cost.

    The "Blue Spectrum" 21-ounce fabric is crafted with rainbow weft threads, creating a vibrant, gradient effect. To prevent an undesired "snow" fade, the warp yarns are carefully calibrated to have a high density, minimizing visible white spots and resulting in a more refined, textured fade. Dyed with pure indigo, this fabric does not use sulfur-based dyes like "Sulfur Black" or "Sulfur Yellow."
